What is Securitization

Mortgage Securitization, turning your mortgage into small pieces (traunches) seems very complicated. This excellent diagram from the Denver Post breaks this process down into palatable pieces. This process of Securitization has been used to defend Foreclosure Cases in different parts of the country. The caution is this: the courts are just beginning to understand that the Mortgage Notes have been transformed into securities thereby making the Note invalid and or/ Making it impossible to discover the “True Holder in Due Course” a key in recent foreclosure defenses!
